This
is my puppy Esmeralda! She is a Toy Miniature Pinscher and she is about
seventeen weeks now. Esmeralda was purchased from the Aztec Kennel in
Hamilton, Ohio on November 1st. The purchaser was actually my older brother
who convinced me to get her. My brother had introduced me to his Miniature
Pinscher and immediately I wanted one. One day, we were just browsing online
for ideas but browsing led to purchasing. Before I knew it, my brother flew
to Hamilton and purchased this two pound puppy. At first, my parents were not
happy about this so Esmeralda's welcome wasn't what I had planned, but now
Esmeralda fits perfectly in the family.
Esmeralda is a little dog with a big attitude and a big heart. She'll duke it
out with our boxer, Josie, and she normally wins. She's five pounds of fury!
She has no fear in the world! Esmeralda will explore anywhere and everywhere
without a thought of what's around the corner. When she's done running laps
around the house, she returns back to her cage where she buries herself under
her blankets and sleeps with her favorite toy, a plastic popsicle that
squeaks. Esmeralda can be stubborn at times, but overall she's a very loving
puppy that just wants to be cuddled. Half of Esmeralda's day is spent playing
and the other half is spent sleeping. Esmeralda can fetch and sit like a pro!
Esmeralda's name may be bigger than she is, but it fits her well. She was
actually named after the Disney character Esmeralda from the Hunchback of
Notre Dame. In this movie, Esmeralda is a gypsy who is very rebellious, much
like my puppy. At first, I just thought it was a pretty name, but the more I
think about it the more the name fits. Esmeralda is a troublemaker some
times, but she's honestly a sweet puppy. She loves to chew on things and howl
in the middle of the night when I try to sleep, but I look past those things
and see a wonderful puppy that I'm glad has made her way into my family.
