Bubba
is a rescue from the Humane Society, he's a Black Lab, Giant Schnauzer
mix. We saved him when he was just six months old and he quickly became a
loving companion and new family member. He's very protective of our family
but is very sweet and caring. He loves to go on walks in our local park and
likes meeting new dogs. We also have a couple cats as well and he doesn't
bother them at all, because he's good with other animals. Like his Lab side,
he sheds and needs brushing. I have hard wood floors in my home so sweeping
up long black doggie hair is almost a daily chore sometimes.
Bubba is very smart and caught on to commands rather quickly. His special
trick is 'High Five' where he lifts a paw and 'high fives' me with it.
However, he can be a little stubborn but highly adorable at times like when I
have to go to work, he jumps in my lap and proceeds to whine and give me
kisses while I try to put on my work shoes. He knows I have to leave, so he
tries to get me to stay. He also knows when I am upset or angry at something,
so he tries his best to cheer me up by, once again, jumping in my lap and
giving me kisses. He does this because he knows it always makes me laugh and
smile. Bubba is an important part of my family. I treat him like he's my own
son. I couldn't have asked for a better dog. I love him so very much!
I wouldn't trade Bubba for anything in the entire world.
