King
is a full-blood German Shepherd, which my mother got as a gift from
my father. She had wanted a German shepherd for many years, but she
never really could convinced my father to get one because my father was
really scared of the breed. This is because my mother's last German
Shepherd, Teddy, often tried to bite him and growled at him. King's
hobby is to have pictures taken of him, and be a good model!
King is a really boyish dog that has not been neutered, which means that
he can seem more wild and will dominate a lot, but otherwise he has the
perfect temperament for us. He loves to play with his ball, go for long
walks and he really enjoys when my mom is home and he can be at her
side, or lay in my parents' bed. He can be very protective which is very
normal for the breed. When our friends come to visit us, he begins to
bark, and show teeth, but otherwise he is very sweet and loving and
loves when our guests will play with him. King hates other cats and sees
red when he sees them, except my cat because she has beaten him up since
he was little. He may seem wild and brutal sometimes, and really seems
fearless, but as soon as he goes to the vet, he screams like a little
child and want my mother's comforting and full attention the whole time.
He has a hard time being alone at home, so he constantly steals our
things in order to seek comfort in our scent, but he doesn't destroy our
things. He can be tough to go for a walk with because he pulls like
crazy, but when you let him free from his leash he is 100% obedient and
come immediately when called. I, though, can't let him free from his dog
leash everywhere because he doesn't always obey me. He obeys my mother
completely without hesitation, though. She just has to call once and
then he is immediately at her side. He is a special dog.
