My
name is Comet and I am a year old. I am a Yellow Labrador mix with a short
tail and a long snout. Woof Woof!!!
In July my first owner put me in the car and took me to a big building with
lots of other dogs and cats. She handed my leash to a nice lady there and
then left me. I wasn't sure what was going on but the people there were very
nice. Later I found out that my first owner did not want me any longer.
Within minutes, a really nice young man came over and started petting me and
talking to me. He seemed to like me a lot even though he just met me! It
turns out that this nice man had come to this place to adopt a dog and as
luck would have it, I needed a new owner!
The young man left and later his wife came back with her mom and mom-in-law.
The three ladies took me for a walk around the big building and seemed really
happy to meet me even though they never met me before either! My new mom had
to fill out a bunch of papers and talk to the nice people at the big
building. I was very excited and kept wagging my tail and putting my head in
their laps to be petted. Next thing I knew I was getting into my new owner's
car and going to a new house.
I had to stay at my grandparent's house for a few weeks because my new mom
and dad were buying a house of their own and had to make some plans.
I love my family. They bought me toys which I didn't really know how to play
with at first but I am learning. I also got a pool of my own which I love to
hang out in when it is hot outside. I have a big fenced in yard and lots of
interesting things to sniff and check out. We go for walks and you would not
believe the smells on the bike path!
Well, mom is going to be home from work soon so I better get back in my crate
before she finds out I was using her laptop. She will give me kisses and hugs
when she gets home and we will go outside and play and then cook dinner.
