Our
dogs brought us together - my fiance and I are an unlikely pair. He works
for an oil company and I work for an environmentalist and human rights
non-profit. It could almost be the plot of a romantic comedy. We met at the
dog park when our dogs were drawn to each other, and they are both husky
mixes (meaning they sometimes are too crazy for other dogs to want to play
with them, so they're perfect for each other). They look like they could be
related, and now that we are a two-dog family, they play, snuggle, and get to
live their lives together. Sometimes we take them sailing on the San
Francisco bay! They are the best of friends, and we are planning to have them
in our wedding. Echo doesn't even need a tux, since he already has the black
and white coat!
What makes him most special is the way he "woos" hello when I get home - or
maybe when he does this thing I call "T-rex paws" - he rolls on his back and
his front arms curl up against his chest. Too cute!
