Frodo
is a Dachshund-Chihuahua mix. We rescued him from a shelter a little
after I moved thousands of miles away from home (India) to the United States.
In turn, he rescued me from homesickness and loneliness.
Frodo, like most small dogs, thinks he is a giant. He loves chasing the big
dogs and wrestling with them. He is called the Energizer bunny in our dog
park. He loves to hike in the beautiful outdoors of Colorado and to play in
the snow. He also loves to cuddle on the couch, the bed... well anywhere.
We have another dog Sam (a German Shepherd mix) now. She is an older dog and
was really shy and timid when we first got her. Frodo's energy and super
affectionate nature is rubbing off on Sam and she is starting to come out of
her shell. Frodo loves to chew on her ears and force her into wrestling with
him. I can't imagine life without Frodo and I really think I picked the right
name. Just like how the hobbit in the Lord of the Rings movie saved the
world, my little hobbit saved mine.
