Hi
there! This is our dog, nineteen-month-old Evie. We named her Evie as she was
born on Christmas Eve.
She is an unique Alaskan Malamute X American Staffordshire Terrier mix which
has made her look like a Dingo. Being in Australia, we get asked if she is a
Dingo, or part Dingo, nearly every time we leave the house with her.
She is a gentle, caring and happy soul in a boisterous puppy body and we love
her very much. She loves meeting new dogs; but can sometimes forget her doggy
manners and can become a bit too excited around them.
Evie knows when we are waking up; she will wriggle up as far as she can get
from the end of the bed, snuggle up close and give a big, comfortable sigh...it
is just about the best way to start the day.
She is very cheeky and will steal food off the bench if she can reach it. She
will eat and chew just about anything, and I mean anything...her favourites are
plastic coat hangers, the cardboard cores of toilet rolls and the smoked Pig
Snouts we get from the pet store.
Miss Evie also thinks she is a lap dog, despite being about 28kgs (62 pounds), she will
try to get as much of herself onto of you as she can while sitting on the couch.
We also have a cat named Techno. Evie and Techno don't much care for each
other, and for the most part leave each other alone; however, Evie knows that
Techno is not allowed outside and will herd her back into the house if Techno
tries to go wandering when the backdoor is open. She is very clever. Hmm,
maybe that's why Techno doesn't like her!
We love Evie; she is a loyal and loving dog and we couldn't imagine our life without her now.
