We've
had Niki for many years. He's been a part of the family for so long
that I don't even remember what our life looked like before him. Our friends
gave him to my sister when their Golden Retriever bitch had puppies. His name
was "Nicolas Star of Rock" (in the papers), but we called him Niki.
He's so beautiful that people are always stopping in the street just to look
at him or take a picture, but there is so many cute dogs that I wouldn't say
that this alone makes him special. I think we love him the most because he
always makes us feel special. He does have a sense of humor, and he always
tries to help us any way he can. When we are carrying any bags he tries to
take them from us and carry them himself. It makes me laugh, when I can see
him standing at the door trying to take my bag for me while looking deep into
my eyes asking for permission. When bored, he walks around the house finding
someone to pet him or just talk to him. When you talk, he listens, no matter
if he understands you or not. He make our lives better just because he's
around, because when you look in his eyes you could swear that he's smiling to you. :)
