We
got Shannon a year or so after our Chocolate Lab Benton died. My mom
prayed and prayed for a dog that was a girl, small, who didn't bark much and
was good with children. So, after much praying and searching, my mom found a
dog named Savannah at the Salem pet shelter. She was so excited to go and
meet her the next morning. We drove to the shelter, but when we got there
Savannah was already adopted and her brother and sister where the only ones
left. My mom wanted a girl dog, so she took Shannon on a leash and took her
into the play pen out back. We instantly fell in-love with her and adopted
her. So we took her home and she is a very well behaved dog. She only barks
when there are people or animals or when cars pull into the driveway outside.
So she barks when it is proper, and is otherwise very quiet!
She like to sit in my big chair in my room, so much that one time she and I
had a nap in it together! She loves to go for rides in the car. She thinks
every time my dad puts on his jacket that she thinks she is going with him!
Shannon is not a big swimmer, even when she fell in my mom's friend's pool
she couldn't get out on her own! We love her anyway, just as she is!
