We
adopted Ben when he was one and a half. He went through five homes and ended up in a
high kill shelter before being rescued. This is crazy, as he is the most
loving boy ever. He just can't get enough affection for his taste! He has two
sisters, Keeley eleven and Kacie six, and they are all Goldens. He is just so
special to us, knowing what he went through in the one and a half years before finding
his forever home with us. We are definitely the lucky ones here.
Ben does not know any tricks. He loves his kitty cat (which is a stuffed
toy). He talks to you when he has it. He'll make a special trip upstairs and
then run down to get you to chase him, with the kitty cat in his mouth of course.
My fur kids go to Doggie daycare (Jersey Devil Doggie Daycare). They have a
Facebook page if you wanted to see him in action. He loves pulling on the
rope there and is considered the Sheriff, as he keeps everyone in line. We
were told in the beginning "never play tug with Ben," as he won't let go. You
simply will not win. And the other kids at school never win. He is the most
senior dog there, and still can kick their butts. He is just my sweet, lovely
Ben. I just find it amazing that he is this way considering what he went
through. Five homes, how could this be? There is not an evil bone in his
body. He is just love, through and through.
