Winkle is so gentle. He's quiet and doesn't bark, instead he
communicates by making a snuffling sound with his nose. He will ask
permission before jumping up on the couch with me, and he asks to go to
bed every night. His favorite things are belly rubs, cheese, his
blanket, and to sit outside in the sun.
Winkle was adopted/rescued from the pound when he was only a couple
years old. He's been in our lives for about 12 years. He's been just the
sweetest and gentlest dog. He's so laid back and even-keeled, it's hard
to tell sometimes if he needs something. He gets excited about only a
few things - rides in the car and cheese. And of course, he's spoiled,
if he eats his food like a good pup, he gets a tiny bit of cheese as a
treat. He will make sure I know he finished his bowl because he'll be
dancing around to get my attention. Heaven help us if we run out of
cheese! We sure love him!
