Dreich
is possibly the calmest and friendliest dog I've ever met. He never
growls, and only barks when somebody comes to the door. He has a tendency to
bat at spiders with his front paws, and likes chasing snowballs. Plus, he has
great facial hair!
Dreich may be the strangest name ever, but I did not choose it! It is
Pronounced Dreech. The Ch at the end is pronounced like the 'Ch' at the end
of loch). It's a pretty odd name, but it was my dad who chose it.
My family adopted Dreich when he was two years old, and I instantly fell in
love with him. I had been terrified of dogs beforehand, but meeting this
little guy made me realize that there was nothing to be afraid of. He's the
ideal pet, if I do say so myself, since he's extremely calm, friendly, and
gentle. He never growls, and rarely barks, plus he looks pretty good with
eyebrows! However, I must admit that he's 'quirky' in a way. He'll happily
eat anything, and I mean anything (apart from egg) and has a tendency to rest
his chin on your lap when he wants attention (or on the computer keyboard).
To be truthful, I see him as more of a family member than a pet, and he was
my only friend during a rather shady period of my childhood. His only real
flaw is that his farts are the devil in gas form. Aside from that, he's the
perfect dog!
