Twix
is known as the local screwball. He is loud and talkative but couldn't
hurt a fly. Anyone who's met him has fallen in love with his two different
coloured eyes. He's known as hoover and fatso due to his attraction to food
but he is healthy and fit. Twix is also the best frog hunter I've ever seen
if you can call that a skill.
He is the third dog we got but only the second of the house. The first dog we
got was a "mutt" (not a word I like using) named Lucky, but he was old when
we got him. A few years after Lucky passed, we got Twix's half brother Zorro.
(A blue merle Australian Shepherd.) We loved him so much that we ended up
getting a second dog from the same breeder but this time a red merle, and
that is Twix.
Since the day we got him we've worked on his obedience. We were only able to
teach him paw shake or high five. He is very active and follows my mother
like a shadow... When I say follows, I mean everywhere; bathroom, outside, in
the house, and everywhere. His favorite thing to do is play with this treat
ball that holds treats and when you roll it around some fall out a hole. He
will go at it for hours. Non stop. Until he gets out every last piece. Even
though he loves food, at the end of each night he'll always cuddle up with me
on the couch or the bed.
