Kona is a ten-month-old rescue dog, residing in sunny Orlando, Florida. She is center of our universe. Her mother had always dreamed of rescuing a dog, and this past Valentine's Day that dream became a reality for Kona's mom, when Kona's dad adopted her as a present. Her dad says that he will never be able to top that Valentine's Day present, and he is right. Kona has been there for many exciting events in our lives, graduation from graduate school, our engagement and will be the dog of honor in our upcoming wedding. Kona has an excitement about everything life has to offer that is contagious.
Kona is a hugger. After a long day at work, Kona is anxious to greet us with a long hug, by wrapping her paws around our shoulders. She truly makes everyone she encounters feel like a "somebody" by offering them a hug. Kona's heart can be won easily, but particularly by peanut butter and toys that squeak.
