Rafferty Junior was born with a very bad heart. He may look normal, but he has a mitral valve stenosis which is unique to him. He is monitored by The Royal Veterinary cardiac surgeons in the UK and at the moment they feel that surgery is not an option. Rafferty Junior has to take beta blockers everyday to slow down his heart rate. He is not allowed to go for a run with all the other doggies, he can only be walked on the lead round the block and has to stay at home with his sister Millie, a nine-year-old Jack Russell.
Despite everything, Rafferty Junior is the most adorable dog. Even though he is a little crazy at times, he brings joy and pleasure to all our lives and we can't contemplate life without him.
