When we went to the animal shelter recently, we had no intentions of adopting a dog that day. We had been thinking about adopting another dog, but our minds were not made up. We went to the shelter to see what dogs they had available for adoption, and maybe even get an idea of what breed we wanted to adopt.
That's when we saw Joey. He was in the back in the very last kennel in the corner. We asked one of the shelters employees if he could take him out of the kennel so we could get to know his personality a little better. When the employee took Joey out of his kennel and he came right up to us and gave us kisses, I knew that we would be leaving with a dog that day.
We have had Joey for a little kess than a month, and I am absolutely in love. He is the sweetest boy ever he and never fails to greet us with a copious amount of kisses whenever he sees us. He is very goofy and is a huge baby. He is going to be a very big boy when he is full grown, and we could not be more excited that we went to the shelter that day!
