Our cousin had just discovered that his "friend" was abusing a puppy. Seeing as one of our dogs had just died, he knew we had room in the house. Our cousin told his "friend" that the dog ran away, and took the dog straight to our house.
We didn't plan on keeping this boy permanently, but we couldn't find him what we considered a good home. Given his former circumstances, that was important. So, we decided our home was good enough, because he absolutely loved us. Therefore, we named him Bandit, because he stole our hearts. That was four years ago, and he has been a loved family member ever since.
