Well, ever since I learned about having a dog as a pet, I would always beg my parents for one! I would say I would do everything and anything it took to get my little hands on a fluffy dog! And after years and years of waiting, on my ninth birthday, guess who came knocking at the door? Yep! My father was outside, a large, brown and white dog at his side. At first I was terrified of him, I mean, he was huge compared to how small I was! For the rest of the day I sort of avoided him, as if he were a killer. But, soon enough, I warmed up to him.
Dexter and I are closer than ever now. We have daily conversations about life's do's and don'ts as we go for long walks, and both enjoy a little game of soccer from time to time. You may think it's weird, but yes, I play soccer with my dog! I kick around a medium-sized ball (smaller than a soccerball, but bigger than a softball), and try to get it to get it to the other side of the yard. Dexter is both the defense and the goalie, having to dodge around my legs to try and snatch the ball before it hits the fence, which would be a goal. He is my true friend.
