Sophie is an eight-year-old mixed breed, a German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. She's a very smart dog who is helping dispel the myth that old dogs can't learn new tricks. She enjoys the simple things in life such as fast runs on the beach, a yummy beef trachea late at night, a good round of fetch, rolling in dead things, and don't forget the ear scratches.
Sophie likes to live life in the fast lane, racing around with other dogs as if there is no end to the world beneath her paws. Despite her age, she is physically fit, jumping into cars through the window, leaping fences, digging giant holes in the ground, and did I mention that she runs?
Trick training is another of her hobbies, by far her favorite trick is to "wave." She'll gladly sit at your feet and give you a "high five" with her giant paw. If she isn't getting the attention she feels she deserves, she will army crawl to you and give your hand a nudge with her nose. There seems to not be a bad photo of Sophie, she sees the camera and just starts posing. We love her!
