My adorable dog Jack is a mutt (predominantly black Labrador retriever, other unknown) residing in Portland, Maine. Jack is special because he love, love, lovesss to cuddle. He is happiest when someone is petting him, baby-talking to him, or cuddling with him. We call him our 'old man' and he tends to have 'old man moments' where he walks into a room or abruptly awakes from a nap and stands in the middle of the room half asleep and confused. We tell him to go back to sleep, and he puts himself to bed in his comfy dog bed.
Jack doesn't know he's an old man though, and gets excited as a puppy for walks, car rides, food, and especially his daily trips to the nearby dog park. Jack is a sweetheart who is extremely appreciative to be in a loving, permanent home after shuffling through several homes and a long stay at the shelter. Jack deserves to be honored!
At this very moment he is snuggled on the couch next to me, his head on my lap, snoring and twitching while dreaming of chasing our neighbor's cat.
