Polly's favorite things are swimming and lounging. Here she is spending the day lying around in the hospital room where her Daddy has been for a while, and in happier times at the pool.
Polly is not my first Springer - I grew up with them - but she is my husband's first dog. She is an immigrant, having been born on our friend's couch in Panama. Knowing my childhood love of Springers, they gave her to us as my husband's retirement companion, and I brought her north at 13 weeks.
She is as energetic as ever and is extremely social. She loves counter-surfing in any house she enters, always hopeful of finding treats or just crumbs. We divide our time between Capitol Hill in DC and a lake house near Charlottesville, Virginia, and in both places she has regular stops on morning and afternoon walks - visiting elderly neighbors or restaurants/shops, getting belly rubs and occasionally treats.
The bottom photo is a picture of her with my husband the day she arrived. As you can see, she won his heart instantly.
