Gabriel is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi - the corgi with a tail! He is my first dog ever. My daughter showed several Cardis to their championships when she was younger, but I never owned or showed a dog. My daughter is now a veterinarian and she bred a litter of Cardigan Welsh Corgi - and I just had to have one!
Gabe has titles at both ends of his name, which means he is a versatile dog! His official AKC registered name is "CH Torlan's Dare to Dance the Tide CDX RE OAP OJP CA THD CGCA VC." I wanted to provide a great home to this smart and handsome puppy, so we are trying everything! He shows in conformation, competes in agility and lure coursing, and does competitive obedience. Training a dog in a variety of events has been challenging and fun! Gabe is also a certified therapy dog.
Gabriel won Best of Breed and Best Owner Handled at the Southern California Cardigan Welsh Corgi Specialty in 2016. At three years old, Gabe is an all-around super star of a dog, and a sweetheart to own. I love him very much!
