Minnie the Airedale Terrier, the Dog of the Day
Name: Minerva
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female Breed: Airedale Terrier
Home: Pennsylvania, USA

This is my pet Minerva (Minnie for short). We got her on Christmas two years ago when she was just 25 pounds (11.33kg). Now she weighs 93 pounds (42kg)! My aunt asked my mother if we wanted a free puppy. Minnie was free because her breeders didn't want a puppy with an overbite and an outsie belly button. We love her belly button, overbite, and all. Minnie will oftentimes roll over for belly rubs and make little whining noises until someone comes. She makes other cute little noises too. If you are giving her a massage or petting her she will also make little happy noises. When a person scratches her where she has an itch, she will move her whole leg in circles. When she is in my backyard, she barks at the fish in the koi pond and wags her tail like she wants to play with them.

She is my first dog. She is super cuddly and loves going for walks. Minnie has a slight obsession with food and will eat anything except for veggies. She is very spoiled because my family and I wanted to give her the best life possible. She trusts almost everyone and will go right up to people and give them kisses. She is a big girl so a lot of people think she is slightly scary. She is a very intelligent dog and knows how to sit, lie down, and was taught how to shake hands ( or paws) but she forgot it. I think she just did it for the treats. Minnie also know several words such as "Out," "Beef" and "Cat." She doesn't play a lot of games but her favorite toy is a squeaky Lamb Chops toy. She started out with a green one which was her first toy and has gone through many more of these lambs which she has decapitated. When she is playing with a toy, she holds it with her paws like a human.

She is really good with other dogs and all people. She tries to make as many friends as she can. She was given a bell to go on her collar for Christmas a year ago, and when you hear it jingle, it usually means she is getting into trouble. When Minnie goes on walks, she pulls on the leash whenever she sees a squirrel or a cat. Minnie always makes me laugh because she is a such big goofball. She cocks her head when you say a word she knows, and gets grumpy when you are near her and not giving her attention. Minnie is the sweetest thing. If one of her family members is lying on the ground, she comes over and licks as many parts of you as she can and doesn't let you leave until she is done. Minnie thinks she is a human and we love every part of her quirky personality. I love Minnie and I hope you do to.
