This is Dixie! She is so sweet and special. She is a Beagle and Jack Russell mix. My family adopted her at our church pet adoption for pets at kill shelters. When we first found her, she was sitting in a small cage sad and scared, surrounded by hundreds of other dogs needing a home equally as much. My father picked her up out of her cage and she looked at him with the biggest puppy-dog eyes and licked him right on the cheek. We knew we had to have her and we took her home.
Dixie is a character. She loves to eat, smell things, surf in the pool, and lay by the fire place when it gets cold out. She also loves to sleep more than any dog I know! She always has her tongue out so it is hard to get a picture without it! We love Dixie!
