This is a picture of my dog Ginger getting waken up by a camera flash! Ginger is a thirteen-year-old Shepherd/Chow mix. We got her from the Animal Protection Association in Missouri when she was just six weeks old. Ginger's mother was a Chow Chow and her father was a GSD. Ginger is a very special dog to our family. The first day we brought her home, she would, and still does sit in my lap. It's harder now, because she's not a little puppy, she's 70lbs!
She is loving, loyal, affectionate, and a great guard dog. When Ginger was a puppy, she was always in trouble. She chewed the wood on the deck, ate through the kitchen table, ate through a windowsill, and she could never ever have a comfy bed to sleep on, because she would, and still does, eat it. Ginger has learned that every squirrel and rabbit that comes into the yard must get chased out! Ginger loves going for walks every day, playing tug-o-war, and bothering her older "sister" Chelcee, a Yorkshire terrier.
