I first found Lucy on Craigslist about a year or two ago and in the the bio it said she was rescued from being euthanized the day she was surrendered to the pound. I saw her pictures and that she was great with other dogs, so I had to come meet her. She was in foster care at that moment until she would be adopted. I wanted a another dog because my other dog, Lady, needed someone who could help bring her confidence up. She was a wreck without another dog as a companion to show her how to be more social and less scared or the world.
Lucy is such a character. She's vocal, sassy, quirky, and just a bundle of love. She's incredibly smart and easy to train. When I saw the pictures of her when she was surrendered to pound she was severely under weight, ridden with fleas and just very sad. I'm so grateful to the people that rescued her from being put down. She has brought my little family so much joy and love. She adores my boyfriend, even though we were told she was cautious of men. She warmed up to him so fast and he's her favorite person to play with. She and Lady are best friends and couldn't be without each other even for a moment. It's hard to believe that such a great dog was neglected like she was. She will never be without a home ever again. Everyone loves her so much!
