This is a picture of our most recent addition to our dog family (we had four already). My son, who is mentally handicapped, decided about two weeks ago that our dogs were too "big" to play with all the time, and he wanted a smaller dog. A Chihuahua, to be exact. I never have had a small dog in my entire life, all my dogs have been at least 30 pounds or more, but, being the soft touch that I am, I let him pick out a small puppy from a friend we have who had some registered Chihuahuas.
I had no idea how small this guy would be, but to give you an idea, he was one pound, five ounces when we got him, and we could hold him in one hand, with room to spare. He was tenweeks old. Yikes, that is one small chiquita! My son named him after the WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar. We call him Little Brock, or Doc for short.
I can't tell you how much we have enjoyed this funny, sweet, active and smart little guy. I am sold on Chihuahuas now! He is now a whopping two pounds, and he makes the big dogs (one a 75-pound Weimaraner) behave! He loves playing with his four cat brothers, they wrestle and fight and run around being crazy. This dog has won our hearts.
