Lucy was the best wedding present that my husband and I could have possible received. She was a "test" dog at the vet school my sister-in-law was attending and she saw Lucy and had to bring her home to us to keep our other beagle, Snoopy, company. The day Lucy was supposed to have surgery and then be put to sleep she was whisked away in her aunts backpack and home with us.
Lucy has definitely gotten used to the finer things in life. She sleeps in her toddler bed just for her with her pillows and her blanket. She enjoys trips to the dogpark and the local pet bakery. She seems to have a way with people. Everyone is always petting and loving on her and if you aren't she is there to give you a little paw and let you know she is always ready to be loved. She loves to pose for pictures (she is a little princess you know). After her recent move to Florida she has grown to love long naps in the sun and barking at the grumpy neighbor next door!
I don't know what my husband and I would do without our precious little Lucy Belle!! (Nor would her grandparents!!)
