Introducing "Instant Karma Dharma's Gonna Get You" - Dharma for everyday use. Dharma came into our lives four months after we lost our beloved girl Golden Retriever, Beignet, to cancer at age six Our male golden, Harvey, and our black lab mix, Haley, missed Beignet terribly. We were heartbroken and at loose ends with two middle-aged, trained, and fairly well-behaved canine kids. A friend called me one beautiful afternoon and said she had found a skinny, sad-looking dog who looked "so tired." I only needed one look at this little waif to know she would be our next canine kid!
Dharma has a delightful, loving, spunky personality. When my husband comes home from work late at night and kisses me "hello" while I sleep, Dharma leaps onto the bed ahead of him and "protects" me. She protects me from our Great Dane neighbors, even though she's about one-tenth of their size! She accompanies me into the pantry when I'm fixing her meals. She encourages me to hurry with my culinary duties by barking animatedly, sounding sometimes like, well, it's an indescribable kind of "woo woo woo" with a gargling sound tossed in. She's our Dharma Doodle-icious and we love her!
