Samson is two years old in this picture, though he's a bit older now. I chose this one to send as he is actually holding still and facing the camera - a rare combination for him, as he is such a busy, active guy. He also looks serious - another rarity! Samson may look a little chunky to you, but that is all muscle. He is not overweight, something I am careful about, as Chocolate Labs in particular seem prone to it. He does love food, all food, all the time, and can sniff out the tiniest crumb. One does not need to worry about fallen food long at this house!
Samson is special most of all because he is simply my best friend. He is with me through thick and thin, even if he's asleep he will wake up and move to whatever room I am in, and fall right back asleep. He seems to have an internal proximity beacon. And no matter how cold the Ontario weather gets, my feet are never cold, he lies on them at night! He is everything I could ever want in a dog, and is truly this "Man's Best Friend.”
