Dad came home one day with a special treat for us. That special treat was Dougie. He is an American Staffy and loves to take long naps. He has been very lonely in the past few months, for we had a loss about four months ago, her name was Diamond. We have her buried in the backyard so Dougie feels like she's still here.
We all loved our other dog, Diamond. When she died we were all very upset, including Dougie. It was obvious he mourned her as much as we did.
About a few weeks ago, Dougie gave Mum a little handshake. It was quite cute, and proves even adult dogs can learn new tricks. He adores his rope toys, whether to play tug of war - he is very strong - or just to lie in the yard a chew chew chew! I think Dougie is a wonderful dog and has a heart of pure gold!
