Poor little Miss MYA, she's "dumb as dirt" seriously. Her "learning curve" is not near as high as her poodle 'sibling' Maggie.
And what she lacks in "smarts" she makes up in ATTITUDE and cuteness. She thinks she's "bad to the bone" and a BIG girl even though she is only four pounds seven ounces, and stands seven inches tall at the shoulders.
Her only "claim to fame" is that her pictures have been included in 14 different Huffington Post slideshows/articles AND seven different AOL slideshows/articles as well as Woman's Day, The Guardian, and various news websites, and she was a model in the First Annual Eastern NC Pet Expo "Fashion Show" several years ago. Yep ... she walked down a real live CATWALK, modeling a little pink beaded satin dress.
I call her my little "Internet hottie!" Her favorite pastimes are napping, stealing rawhides from the other two dogs in the house, chewing rawhides andher daily "chase/run" with Maggie up and down the hall three to five times in a row.
Poor little MYA does NOT know any tricks, she is seriously NOT that smart. She doesn't really "play" any games either, however, on occasion she will attempt to take a TOY away from Maggie that Maggie is playing with and they will end up in a game of TUG. She's a pretty "aloof" little dog....compared to the other dogs I've had in my 59 years. And especially compared to Maggie, who is an eight-pound "bag of sugar."
She's also a thief and a hoarder. That is, UNTIL I blocked off her access to getting under the bed ... THAT is where she stashed her loot. She'd pick up toys in the living room and drag them to under the bed, or rawhides. When I cleaned out under there one day, there were six plushy toys and five rawhides in her "lair." I clean them out, she drags them back under, .LOL !!
If you're laying on the sofa, her preference is to come lay in the bend of your knees. She never attempts to "give kisses," however she does like to "wash your hand," her version of giving kisses/affection.
She is the FIRST dog that I've EVER had that is "food aggressive" and "treat aggressive." My roommate has a 14 lb. Pomeranian that will NOT come within 3 feet of her if she has her face in a food bowl or is chewing a rawhide. IF he does, she will bare teeth, LUNGE, growl and snap at him. If this were any OTHER dog I'd consider this a "problem" and it would be dealt with, .BUT....since her little "snout" is ONLY, 1 1/8 INCH long, it is more comical than anything... ________ (this is how long her "snout" is)... Plus....her exposure to "other dogs" is limited to her 'poodle' sister Maggie and roomie's Pom Mojo. They are her only playmates.
She is a "hoot!"
