Creole the American Pit Bull mix, the Dog of the Day
Name: Creole
Age: Four years old
Gender: Female Breed: American Pit Bull mix
Home: Columbus, Georgia, USA
Introducing Creole June Enfinger. According to her embarkDNA test, she is 61.1% American pit bull terrier, 11.8% Bulldog, 10.5% Chow Chow, 9.4% Boxer, and 7.2% Supermut (traces of American Bulldog and German Shepherd).

This is my first time having just a dog. I had my cat, Lilly, for three years before getting my dog, Desiree, and had them for 14 years after that. Creole came into our lives in 2018 and my other babies left this world in 2020. My ex boyfriend, Robert, rescued Creole from an acquaintance of his who couldn't properly care for her. He brought her home without telling me but as soon as she saw me, she bolted for me and jumped on me, wagging her tail and sniffing me! It was love at first sight! I worried about how my animals would feel but she won them over, even Robert's bird, Joe Joe, who died at around 24 years of age in 2019.

She experienced several losses but her biggest loss was Desiree. They had grown so close and Desiree treated Creole as if she were hers. She cleaned her face all the time. That's why Robert let me take her when we broke up, because of how close they were. However at the moment, she is the only pet and she is treated like a princess!! She knows how to sit, lie down, and uses buttons to tell me if she wants a treat, go on a walk, go potty, and play (I plan on getting more buttons). She loves to tear out the eyes and the noses off her stuffed animals (She learned it from watching Desiree). She loves to go get the ball and run and just roll around in the sun. She lives inside and sleeps in the bed with me. She loves rides in the truck while sticking her head out.

She has won over my friends and they seem to be more her friends now, lol. They always ask me why is she so demanding!! She is very food motivated so if someone has food, she will talk to them and bark at them, not in a mean way but as if to say "save me a piece!". She does fuss with me though and is adamant about getting her way. She pees like a male dog and has to smell and pee on everything on our walks. She loves long belly rubs, body massages, and scritches!! She's hilarious and plays with her treats. She is good with children and some cats. She was great with Desiree and loves Zero, Robert's dog, but she likes to bark at other dogs through the window. Did I mention she's a window dog?
