This
is Boomer. He is a five-year-old Portuguese Water Dog from
Northridge, CA. Boomer was the biggest of his litter and brought
along his little brother, Rocky, when he joined our family in
November 1993. They were lucky to have survived the 1994 Northridge
earthquake when they were just pups.
Things around here haven't been the same since. Boomer & Rocky swim
every day and keep each other amused with lots of playtime in the
back yard. They are very smart and lately have enjoyed learning
agility training. Portuguese Water Dogs are active, affectionate,
fun-loving dogs who make new friends for their breed wherever they
go.
While Rocky may be the "alpha" dog, Boomer is the big, friendly
lover-boy who enjoys nothing more than a ride in car on Sunday
mornings to the bagel store. If you've never seen a Portie before,
Boom is a pretty good example of what the breed is supposed to look
like. Boomer is one special dog!
