After
following the Pet of the Day for months now I finally got the
nerve to submit my best friend Kola. Jesse and I decided to name him
after the Spanish word Kola, which means "tail," since we
knew his tail would dictate our interior designs. Since then we have
eliminated all coffee tables in the house.
Kola is my running partner and really does protect me from
everything. We have come across coyotes and even a black bear on our
pre-dawn trail runs, and luckily he listens to me and doesn't try to
go "play" with those funny looking dogs. Since I got a
couple of horses (which has always been a dream for me), Kola has
been really loving life. He comes with me on trail rides and has a
great time playing tag with Walker, the fun loving Appalousa, who
runs around the pasture after the quick and agile dog. I feel so
blessed to have the love and companionship of Kola and my horses
Chocolate and Walker. I hope other people that are befriended by
animals find the same kind of friendship with their pets.
