This
is Fred... He is a two year old Plott Hound who resides in
Wisconsin. Adopted from a local shelter, Fred still exhibits
some of the masterful intelligence and immovable belligerence common
to Plotts. While he is not used to hunt, he often scares up
un"bear"able family fun with his exuberance and
simple-minded devotion. Besides keeping watch over the neighbors
dairy cattle and roaming the oft-snow-covered countryside of rural
Wisconsin, Fred enjoys chasing his own paws and "guarding"
his masters' bed. Powerful legs enable him to stand on his hind legs
to garner attention and treats (as well as get a better view out the
windows). His intellect is uncanny but is often only displayed on his
terms. Portions of his "stray" past still shine through in
his desire to peruse the garbage for extra helpings of food. Mostly,
though, Fred's zeal and zest are matched only by his insatiable
capacity to love and be loved.
