What
makes Gullit special is her extreme intelligence. I have a
saying: "A clever dog does what his/her owner wants him/her to
do, but a more clever dog does not." Gullit learns quickly and
understands a huge number of words and commands. She thinks of every
consequence that may occur after some event. For example, she
immediately gets away when someone says Scissors, since
she hates to be shaved.
Another example: she learned how to get down the slide by staring at
small children playing on the slide (she learned herself, we did not
say anything to try to make her learn to slide). And when we say
Kay! (meaning
Slide! in Turkish), she gets on top of
the slide, waits her turn in the queue among small children, gets
down the slide and comes near us. She immediately gets her reward.
