We
adopted Molly from the shelter a year ago day before Mother's Day.
We went looking for a small dog like our Charlie, who had died of old
age two years before. There were several cutie dogs that everyone
wanted and as we walked on we noticed this sad quiet dog with no
response. The attendant told us her owners had to move and they had
just brought her in an hour before. He also said they were going to
put her down the next day because she was too old, no one would want
her. Wrong! We took her right then, changed her name from Lucky to
Molly, lucky she was but she looks like a Molly.
She is a real lover and beautiful as well, actually she slaps you
with her paw if you ignore her too long. Molly would prefer I stroke
her than write this letter, she likes to be the center of attention.
Molly has the action "lazy" down to perfection and the only
time she moves fast is to run back in the house out of the rain when
she goes potty. She is a very smart dog, who says you can't teach an
old dog new tricks? She can slither on her belly like a snake clear
across the room, and we had her only a month before we realized she
had trained us to give her a dog biscuit every time she went out to
go potty, and cries wolf just to get one. Molly's favorite pastime is
sleeping and begging. The most important reason Molly is so special
is that if we hadn't been in the right place at the right time she
wouldn't be here now giving us a reason to hurry home from work every
night. So thumbs down to her past owners, we got the best pound hound
in the world, she may not be exciting but she's all ours.
