Cocoa, the Dog of the Day
Name: Cocoa
Age: One year, three months old
Gender: Female
Breed: Toy Poodle
Home: Columbus, Ohio, USA

This is Cocoa!  The wonder dog is what I call her, since she catches on to acting (tricks) really easily... such as changing the tv channels (my hubby is not fond of this trick), and playing basketball. Cocoa loves ice cream, car rides, swimming  in any type  of water pool, hot tub, water dish, puddles of mud...

She also enjoys, chasing the birds and squirrels, she thinks she can fly and climb trees. When we first met Cocoa she was eight weeks old and weighed two pounds. I just had to have her, she was playing in her water dish, while the other puppies were sleeping. Then she looked at me like "Come on and play with me already!" which she still does now. She dances on your head in the morning to let you know she is up and ready to go...

The wreath around her head is called a Haku, which is traditionally worn in Hawaii. When we got Cocoa, I was dead set on naming her Mango (like the fruit) But as soon as my Husband saw her, he said she look like a Coconut flake, so we call her Cocoa. Basketball was very very hard to teach her. We have a child's basketball hoop and we thought her how to fetch the ball, and then taught her how to drop the ball in the hoop. This took a lot of patience and treats. Working the remote control came naturally to her. She did this trick all by herself. At times this can be bothersome!!! Especially when you are watching a show, and she wants some attention.

Cocoa absolutely loves to bark, which to me is a good thing. I always know when there is someone coming. But when there is a thunderstorm, you can forget about getting any sleep. She will bark the whole night, which I think is really odd since fireworks do not seen to bother her!

If you would like to see more of Cocoa please stop by her web site.
