These
girls are real hams and will strike a pose anytime a camera is
brought into their view! They are both Delta Pet Partners and take
their therapy visitations quite seriously.
On the other hand, they are "all-dog" - loving to go on
their morning runs through the nearby forest, chase squirrels,
armadillos, and chipmunks in their humongous fenced-in yard, and play
with their hordes of toys. These two girls are their owners'
late-in-life-babies! They both serve as Delta Pet Partners
(therapy-visitation-animals) and are good at what they do! Fanci is
our "kid-specialist," preferring to visit Pediatrics
hospital units, children'd' shelters, and schools....while Trudi
prefers the "oldsters" in nursing homes, Recuperative Care
hospital units, and adult day care centers.
They also enjoy being dogs - playing/wrestling with other dogs or
between themselves, going for rides, playing tug o' war and fetch.
They're just all-round neat girls!! They wear their "Helping
Paws" neckerchiefs when "working." They also wear
their Delta Society "Pet Partner" vests, which set them
apart as therapy dogs. They own four different "sets" of
costumes, as they wear costumes for all therapy visitations during
the month of October.
