Brutus
was always the sweetest and most gentle pet. He was always on
his best behavior, but demanded lots of attention. At times he could
be very sneaky. Once while his "Daddy" was carving a
turkey, he snuck up behind him and grabbed a big piece of turkey and
ate it. It happened so fast, before we knew it, he was sitting there
acting so innocent. That was the only time I ever saw him move like
lightning, the rest of the time he was pretty laid back without a
care in the world. He got along with all the dogs in our family (a
total of seven right now) and was not the least bit phased by the two
cats.
We lost him to cancer a few days ago. He was twelve years old. He was
sick for a long time and never complained about it once. All he
wanted to do was fill our lives with joy... and that's exactly what
he did.
