About Us
Maxwell H. Dawg, the Dog of the Day
Name: Maxwell H. Dawg
Age: Fourteen months old
Gender: Male Breed: Siberian Husky
Home: Seattle, Washington, USA

I have never had a dog before Max, although I have always loved dogs. I never knew how attached I could get to an animal, or how big a part of my life this little puppy would become. Well, Max's not so little any more, and technically he is an adult dog, but I think that he will always be my puppy-dog and he will always be extremely important to me.

This is Maxwell H. Dawg, otherwise known as Max, Mr. Dawg, The Husky Puppy, Baby Max and "The Tornado" (for his habit of running in circles). Max is a wonderful puppy. He gets in all kinds of trouble but he always makes us laugh. Max is a favorite with the neighbors and with all of his dog friends because is very well behaved and well trained-especially for a Husky! Kids love to play with him, pet his soft fur and ask if he is part of "the team," the University of Washington Huskies. Max is not the UW mascot (nor does he play for any of their teams), but he is a huge University of Washington fan and he has learned how to "high-five" after the Dawgs score a touchdown.

He loves to play, go for walks and runs and get massaged. When any two members of our family hug, Max jumps up and joins in-he doesn't like to be left out-and presto! you have a "group hug." Max sleeps under the bed at night and makes sure that everyone in the house is up bright and early in the morning. Max became part of our family last June, about the same time that I was graduating from the University of Washington. Today we can't imagine life without him. He gets more attention and presents than the rest of us put together-and he has more pictures displayed around the house! But how can you help it?

Of all of Max's great qualities, the best is that he makes you feel like the most special person in the world. Whenever we come home, regardless of how long we have been gone, Max greets us with his ears flattened back against his head and a wagging tail that moves the rest of his body back and forth. Often he sits next to my feet or lays down next to me and leans against me as if to say "I'm not letting you go anywhere." My parents even say that he looks at the front door every time they mention my name!

He is a beautiful, incredibly lovable, and very special dog for his looks, his manners and his personality!
