KoKo
is a four-year-old Springer Spaniel. We are a family of
"dog lovers" who appreciate the true companionship of this
beautiful animal. We bought KoKo about the same time we learned our
thirteen-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Dusty, was dying of cancer. KoKo
was three years old when her "Big Brother" died. I remember
coming home from the Vet's office, crying and upset over losing Dusty
that day. KoKo, the true friend and family member she is, met me at
the door. I remember her enthusiasm as she greeted me. Yet she was
subdued and tried to get as close as she could as if to comfort her
grieving master. As she gets older, she just gets sweeter. Always at
the door, greeting us with her "sidewinder" walk. Just the
thing to see after a hard day at work. If only our human counterparts
could be this comforting and willing to please!
