I'd
like to nominate my wonderful dog, Rhoda. Rhoda is a black pug,
and lives with me in San Francisco, California and is every inch the
urban dog-about-town.
Rhoda is named for Rhoda Morgenstern of television's classic series
"Rhoda" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," because
Rhoda and Mary are my role models in life. Really. Of course I think
my Rhoda is special - she's my one and only dog, and is very dear to
me. Rhoda's favorite activities include shredding junk mail that
comes through the mail slot, "grazing" in the living room
for stray carpet fuzz, and giving sloppy kisses to everyone she
meets. Rhoda has her own web site, too, where we provide information
about the importance of spay/neuter, and award the pages of
responsible pet owners and their beloved animals with Rhoda's Golden
Gate Award for Homepage Excellence.
Favorite pastimes include licking vanilla gelato in North Beach,
strutting her stuff in her best tie-dyed t-shirt in the Haight
Ashbury, and tending to the litter of kittens we're fostering for the
San Francisco SPCA. Rhoda ensures that each kitten is squeaky-clean
and administers tongue baths to them regularly.
