Here's
a picture of our Jack Russell Terrier, RJ. He's nine months
old. He's a native North Carolinian. RJ's special antics include
being a great floppy-frisbee catcher. He's all atomic-energy;
however, we were able to catch him at rest as he was drinking from
our garden pond in this picture.
RJ was almost a family pet of this particular Jack Russell Terrier
breeder. She had to bottle feed him and his siblings as the mother
dog died while giving birth. The breeder, Mary, and I work together.
She knew that I was a "softy" for Jack Russells, as I had
often talked to her about our first one, a small female named Lizzie.
Mary brought to work pictures of her new litters from time to time,
and when I heard RJ's bottlefeeding story and saw his baby pictures,
I was convinced to have him as my dog's companion. Lizzie is a small
"silkie-coat," short-legged, tri-color Jack Russell
terrier, while RJ really the finest example of a true Jack Russell
Terrier. He is a "broken-coat" (wire-haired) Jack Russell
Terrier with excellent markings; being almost all white except for
his head and a small brown circle-patch just above his perfect tail.
I have had other JRT owners stop and talk to me, while traveling,
about breeding him as he is such a fine specimen. The two dogs have
endless energy, as Lizzie is almost two years old and RJ is
approximately ten months old. We just can't wear them out!!!! They
are energized!!!
