Tuck
is a three-year-old Golden Retriever. This is his spot on the
deck when my husband or I mow the lawn. He generally lets out a big
sigh and places his head between the rails for the hour it takes to
finish. Unfortunately, he's not so calm when it comes to putting the
hose away. In his favorite game, he attacks it, wraps himself up and
growls like some prehistoric beast. For those of you with a male
Golden Retriever puppy, don't give up hope. When they reach eighteen
months old, they calm down considerably. Tuck is the best dog we've
ever had.
