Quinn
was one of a litter of eight seeing-eye dogs, all with names
beginning with Q. He went through all of the training until a small
blind spot was discovered in one eye. He began his life with us two
years ago when his original owners moved to Romania. Quinn is special
because he has completely eliminated my fear of dogs. He is a big
baby, very smart and loving.
His favorite game is frisbee. He plays almost every day and he is
amazing. He also loves to swim -- a favorite day trip is to go hiking
in the mountains and then go swimming in a nearby lake. We have to
watch out when we are in the water with Quinn though because he loves
to swim right at us to try to "save" us. Quinn has several
playmates in his 'hood including Mojo and Kuma whom he wrestles with
endlessly.
Quinn is interested in everything that we do, he will watch me peel
carrots sometimes and I feed him the strings -- he loves them. He
also loves to be in the car and he will attempt to jump into almost
any open car door. He is mesmerized sometimes by paper bags blowing
down the street and by the sound of the neighbor calling her cat.
Quinn's aspirations include: playing frisbee or houseball (when its
rainy) keeping the neighbor's cat Malek and all other cats out of
sight of our house and yard, and getting as many belly rubs as
possible. Quinn is a fun-loving dog and you can't help but have fun
when he's around. I just wish I could bring him to work!
