My
Dog of the Day is Seven my Boxer. Her unusual name comes from a
white seven on the back of her neck. I had always wanted a Boxer
since I grew up with one for the first twelve years of my life. I
finally got one when I was 40! Seven is three years old and has the
sweetest personality of any pet that I've ever had. Just look at
those beautiful brown eyes. We have five other dogs and three cats
but "Sevie" is usually everyone's favorite. I can come home
from work stressed out and mad and she will lay her head on my leg
and look up at me as if to say "It's OK, I'll love you no matter
what!" That devotion makes me know that everything is right with
the world. We purchased a male Boxer (Sam) to keep her company and
they run about five miles a day around our yard.
