My
name is Coconina and I'd like to say,
I hope I'm picked as Pet Of The Day.
Being born in Louisiana it's easy to tell,
I'm both an English Yorkie and a southern belle.
Now I live in Clearwater on the Florida coast,
and I'm happy to tell you what I like the most.
I like to sleep in my mommy's bed,
where on her legs I lay my head.
I like all my toys and if you haven't heard,
the best one of all is my "Tweetie Bird."
I like and play with everyone I meet,
and everyone likes me which is pretty neat.
I like to show how my affection goes,
so I lick and kiss everyone on the nose.
I like every night to give my daddy a treat,
so I pull and tug the socks right off his feet.
I like to greet every squirrel, bunny and bird,
and just in case you haven't heard,
whenever I see our neighbors peacocks and peahen,
I wag my tail until they go back to their pen.
And last I'd like soon to have a sister to play,
and I'll be sure to teach her how to get her own way.
If you ever visit our house - my mommy knows,
that I'm sure to give you kisses right on your nose.
