As
a young pup Ares was kind of wild, but as an eleven-year-old wise
man he rules his world with his gaze. He is kind and caring and loves
to be cuddled. When it is time for his daily walks he thinks he is a
young pup again and barks out loud - here I come, but his feet are
not as young as his mind anymore.
Recently, Ares passed away.
We miss him a lot, but he could not keep up the pace. Ares was very
intelligent. He kind of always understood what we were going to do
before we did it. The Lapphunds were originally used as reindeer
herders, but the only thing Ares herded was cars and people. Ares
favorite activities was taking a walk. In the winter we used to go
cross country skiing with him. He never got tired when he was young,
as he got older he wanted to tag along, but his body couldn't make
it. Ares was our best friend for more than eleven years. Ares' best
friend was Dennis,
who was Dog of The Day for St. Patrick's day this year.
